Kat develops strategies and conducts research in light of dRMM’s ‘Architects Declare a Climate and Biodiversity Emergency’ commitments. Kat is a passionate advocate for decarbonisation of the industry and supporting the flourishing of ecosystems through design. Kat is part of the Low Energy Transformation Initiative (LETI) steering group, coordinating the Circular Economy workstream. Kat lead’s dRMM’s research project ‘Measuring Mass Timber’ in collaboration with Edinburgh Napier University, the Quality of Life Foundation and NMITE, with funding from Built by Nature Edinburgh Napier.
